We come to the ninth presentation and we're appreciating in a resonant set of 13 presentations. A tsunami of importance, which is a threshold of a time form. Our distant ancestors understood. About 2500 years ago. That time comes in a series of forms. And that when a time form comes into play, it becomes the dominant key for the entire composition of what human beings are able to do in that time form, and that each time form has a different dominant key, so that one has to learn to compose in the key. One of the time forms that was discovered then was called the cycle of the Phoenix, which was 500 years that every 500 years it would not just be the turn of a cycle so much as it would be the turn of a spiral. And that time forms. Like all living forms of which it is the archetypal prototype, have a symmetry to them, so that there were two 500 year time forms that together made 1000 years, made a millennium. And in keeping with that symmetry, a pair of millennia would make a 2000 year period called an aeon in Greek. And that the correlation of an aeon of a 2000 year period had a confirmation with the astronomy and astrology of the stars. That the path of our sun, our star, the sun through the celestial starry field over the course of a year goes through 12 constellations, the zodiac. And just as there's an annual zodiac they discovered through the application of very sophisticated yogas and meditations of contemplations of excellence in their figuring and their perceptions that there was such a thing as the great zodiac, so that every aeon was itself in a sun sign, and that the entirety, then, would be a great year of close to 26,000 years, 25,000 some 100 years, and that this great year was somehow tied up with the strategic way in which not only did we live within time, but that there are changes that happen in mankind that emerge as if they were hidden essences that now, just now came into play and would be in play is like a tonic key for the composition of a whole double millennium. The most powerful presentation of that time form scenario with all of its layers begins the New Testament. And if you'll go to chapter one, verse one of the way in which the New Testament begins with the gospel according to Matthew, he begins right away by delineating those three levels of time forms. In relationship to Jesus that 2000 years before Jesus comes Abraham, 1000 years before Jesus comes. King David, 500 years before Jesus comes the return from the exile. And then comes Jesus. Trying to show that there are sometimes confluences where the cycle of the phoenix, the millennium, and the Aeon coincide. They they coalesce, and so they produce an enormous jump in the time form which correlates to heaven. That heaven moves into a new phase. That what went before had its first and most basic legitimacy, because it was within the way in which the rhythms of time generate the universe because it was understood that time is not the fourth dimension, but the first. Because time occurring at all means that there is a movement, and that the movement creates spontaneously place, and that place is a spatial location in three dimensions. So that as soon as time occurs in that split moment which is infinitesimally minute, not quite instantaneous, but nearly so. And the discrepancy between the instantaneous ness of what was occurring before, and the small difference that now time makes and space occurs, is the difference between 0 and 1. Because as soon as time creates in generation space, that moment now is four dimensional and has a unity and becomes the metronome of how occurrence now is phenomenal. And that you can have adjustments by shifting place in space. But the deepest adjustments come because a time form shifts. And so the whole basis of phenomenality now is in a different key. The problem in our time over the last 60 years has been increasingly trying to come to understand what this not only means for us, but what has happened to us, because almost everything that we have inherited has become a heritage but is not working. And that what seems to be beginning to work has a whole different tonic key to it. It's of a different time. And the most poignant exemplar of this was that when the confluence of the Ian, the millennium and the cycle of the Phoenix occurred in late 1991 early 1992, we had an apocalyptic image that came to us worldwide. Of American troops in desert camouflage with gas masks filing through the original home of mankind, the deserts of Mesopotamia, with 600 oil wells torched and set on fire so that there were black plumes everywhere. And the storm clouds of the apocalypse had not only were gathering had gathered. It was the end of many layers of time forms. And like a apocalyptic event, the reverberations of it suck in whoever has participated in this into a melee. It's a Indonesian Malaysian word. A melee is a confusion that has been created artificially through misunderstanding. And so Americans are still there in an expanded theater now, not only Iraq. But Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, all the way into India and going west all the way to ourselves. So that the swath of the world that inherited civilization from its beginnings is in a melee of a cycle which has at its center a vacuum because of the lack of the dimensions that are necessary to be real in a new time form. There is no more serious problem than this. And so this series is part of a succession of series to present. Enough of the wisdom of the heritage so that one can patiently begin to sensitize oneself, to being able to penetrate and to encompass at the same time of what we have been experiencing and why it is unresolvable until the vision is delivered in its completeness and understood. This takes a while in terms of historical time. It happens in a single generation, and this is the generation in which it happens. Part of the great difficulty is that there is always a clue to a new time form, and the clue to an Aeon time form is the last cycle of the phoenix before the Aeon changed. So that the 500 years before Jesus is not only the coming out of an exile for the Jewish tradition, but coming out of the exile, approaching of the end of an eon of the second half of the second millennium, of the final cycle of the Phoenix, so that we have a great respect and appreciation for what happened 500 years before. 1992 is 1492. The discovery of the New World and what we're realizing now, increasingly just before 1992 and now after 1992, Is that the new world is not just a the Americas. The Western Hemisphere, the other side of the planet. But it is star systems literally without end. And that the ocean to be crossed is initially an interplanetary ocean, but that that comes very soon followed by the interstellar frontier. It is the interstellar frontier that really engages us in a civilized way. It's the interplanetary frontier that engages, engages us in a cultural way. A culture is always. A landscape. It always has a kingdom or a tribal area, or some kind of a dispersal of a people who share the origins in a landscape form. Whereas a civilization is a conscious form. A culture will make itself out of the mythic horizon. But a civilization makes itself out of the historical horizon. And the arbiter between the two is the sense of a refined, complex person who becomes the guide, as it were, to the symbolic sense of individuality to one's identity. The higher person, the spirit person, the work of art of person who then helps to counsel, helps to guide the individual in the form of symbolic thought. And does it not by inculcation, not by indoctrination, but by appealing to the base, the cultural base of the individuality, the sense of identity and symbolic thought structures in the flow of the protagonists, the character, one's character in the mythic horizon, in one's experience. The images, the feeling tones, the language that one uses. And if one enriches the cultural horizon of experience, it's much easier then to integrate a new sense of individuality, a new level of complexity, of identity. But it means opening up the symbolic structures of the mind to guidance. And there's all the difference in the world between an open mind that is able to learn, and a closed mind that becomes increasingly defensive and authoritarian and constantly loses ground because the referential of a symbolic form, though its base of nutrition, is from the mythic horizon, its viability in actuality in a phenomenal way, is on existence. Not only the things that exist, but the actions that exist. That the selection of rituals, which includes the selection of the objects, becomes the referential base of the symbolic structure so that one's identity, though it is nourished by experience, the mind is clever enough to realize that experience is shaped by its base, which is the ritual level, the ritual structure of what people do, of what things are. And if you control what they can have as things, if you can control what they have as the ritual actions that sustain their lives so that their experience is dependent on that, then the mind preempts having to learn from experience by conditioning experience. This has always been called tyranny. And there are not only tyrannies over other people. There are tyrannies over one's character. The authoritarian mind will first of all, tyrannize the protagonist of its life by sabotaging its ability to have real base open. Selection of existentials open possibilities of action. But that sabotage is itself always sabotage, because nature cannot be co-opted by the mind. And this becomes a source of a deeper tyranny, because one now needs to fortify your things, your rituals, your actions to fortify it. Not only that it will control experience, but that it will try to control nature. We don't want those mountains there. We'll bulldoze them. We don't want those trees there. And so the ancient world was desecrated. In such a way that when we read something from a millennium before Jesus that had been true for not only thousands of years, but had been true since Paleolithic times. That the mountains along the coast, the east coast of the Mediterranean, were filled with forests of giant trees, of the cedars of Lebanon. The entire region was forested all the way into the far reaches of the north of the Eurasian continent, and that those forests survived in historical times. So that at one time the entirety of the Eurasian continent looked like primordial Siberia. Solomon's temple was built and designed by Hiram of Tyre because his people had thousands of years of experience with dealing with the giant trees so that one could have not just wood, not just boards, but you could have milled timber that were long enough and large enough that you could build not only the giant boats that the Egyptians used on the Nile and on the tributaries of the Nile, but they designed ships that were seaworthy, that you could go out on the Mediterranean, and that by Solomon's time and building the temple, the Phoenicians were able to design ocean going boats, vessels with keels and draft and beam that they could go through the Pillars of Hercules into the Atlantic Ocean. A thousand years before going out of sight of land and the Mediterranean Sea was a scary business. It still was in Jesus time when they captured Saint Paul and took him to Rome. It took three months to sail from Caesarea to Rome, three months in his time. A thousand years before then, the Phoenicians were going out into the Atlantic Ocean as far down as the Cameroons in Africa. They built their ports on little islands off the coast, so that everyone understood that it's only a trading mission we're not here to conquer. And the little island of Gorée off the Senegal coast, where Dakar is the Paris of Africa. The Gorée originally was a Phoenician trading colony that was done about 600 B.C.. About the time they founded the the port that became Marseille, France, about 200 years after they founded the port that became Carthage. The difficulty is that in Jesus's time, most of those forests were gone except for the high mountains, and in medieval times, those mountains were denuded. The only trees left at all were on estates of a few wealthy. We live in a time where the entire planet has been desecrated, to the extent that it is not only deforestation, like the deforestation of an entire continent, South America, in one generation, but it is the deforestation of the oceans themselves. And so we not only have a planet in peril and the species in peril, but the extent of the peril is unknown because there is no appreciation for high wisdom. One of the most profound. Volumes to come out at the close of the 20th century was a revision by Michio Kaku of an original book. He wrote it in 1988, introduction to Superstrings. And the advance was so fast that he had to do a corrected version in 1990, and then, because it was speeding up incredibly, by 1991, he had to do a whole second volume to go with the corrected volume to expand it. We're talking about the end of an eon, the end of a millennium, the end of a cycle of the Phoenix, the culmination of the last cycle from the Renaissance to us, is the prelude for what is coming over the next 2000 years of what is poignantly coming over the next 1000 years, and what is rushing upon us like a birth that will not be put off the next 500 years. So by 1992, Keiko had to do this book because not only was it introduction to Superstrings because in the intervening year or two, M-theory came into play, which raised superstring theory to. The standard way in which it was talked about at the time was that this is ridiculous. One of the prefaces that Kaku put in to his 1992 book is a quote from Niels Bohr. It reads, we are all agreed that your theory is crazy. The question which divides us is whether it is crazy enough. Here's what Michio Kaku, who teaches at the City College in New York. He's been there for decades. Personable character superstring theory. In its latest formulation, M theory has emerged as the most promising candidate for a quantum theory of all known interactions. Superstrings apparently solve a problem that has defied solution for the past 50 years, since the early 1940s. Why the early 1940s? Because that's when the Manhattan Project in New Mexico, in Los Alamos, began seriously using the breaking of the atom to make an atomic bomb. To solve a problem that has defied solution for the past 50 years, namely, the unification of the two great fundamental physical theories relativity and quantum theory. Not quantum mechanics, because it had evolved to quantum field theory by this time. It was supposed to be then, if they could be resolved, if they could be somehow enfolded, it would be a theory of everything. That's how it was couched. Still is. And the peculiar thing about it that Kaku. Points out that almost nobody is familiar with in a colloquial way, but every. Mathematician is familiar with and most physicists are familiar with. Is this. All the way up till Einstein and Niels Bohr to relativity and quantum theory. Even to quantum field theory. There was always a basis of understanding that, on one hand, included geometry in some fashion and a mathematics that was able to do an application of this superstring theory. And now it's superstring plus. M-theory are remarkably different in exactly this way. Superstring theory, by contrast, has been evolving backward for the past 30 years. It has a bizarre history, beginning with the purely accidental discovery of the quantum theory in 1968 by G. Veneziano and M Suzuki, an Italian and a Japanese thumbing through old math books, They stumbled by chance on the beta function written down in the last century, the 19th century, by the mathematician Leonhard Euler. To their amazement, they discovered that the beta function satisfied almost all the stringent requirements of the scattering matrix describing particle interactions. Now, Euler was one of those geniuses, like Bernhard Riemann, that we talked about last week, developing a new kinds of geometry, new spheres where the cross section of a sphere is a disk where the extension of the disk as a plane of infinity allows for one to do an amazing number of transforms that just happen to have a series of transforms provided only 50 years before by a Frenchman named um uh uh. Fourier. Uh, Fourier was Napoleon's genius. When Napoleon took his French army to conquer Egypt and then got involved in not only conquering Egypt, but because he was setting up a new empire whose calendar began with the French Revolution, with year one trying to preemptively jump start a new time form because Napoleon, like in Alexander the Great, intuitively knew that this is what it's all about. So we're going to go back to the origins of civilization in Egypt. And we're not only taking the army, which cannot be beaten. No one could really beat Napoleon at that time in military affairs. He was like Alexander. He was unbeatable. It didn't matter how many troops you had. It was unbeatable. But matching the army. He took an army of savants, of scholars to invent archaeology, to invent a linguistics, and the overseer of the whole scientific invasion was Fourier. And so when they edited the 20 volumes, the Description of Egypt in folio volumes, I will next week bring two of the original plates of the description of Egypt. It was Fourier who was the editor in chief of the whole operation. And in order to do so, he invented the Fourier transforms in mathematics, which are still used to this day, and received a huge decoration from Napoleon that was a complex, radiant starburst that I will bring in a photo of Fourier wearing his honor of the new time forms the new wisdom of man. Here is what Kaku says. Never in the history of physics has an important scientific discovery been made in quite this random fashion. Because of this accident of history, physicists have ever since been trying to work backwards to fantham the physical principles and symmetries that underlie the theory. Unlike Einstein's theory of general relativity, which began with the geometric principle, the equivalence principle from which the action could be derived, the fundamental physical and geometric principles that lie at the foundation of superstring theory are still unknown. This gives poignancy to the phrase that I use specifically the future and the new past. They are symmetrical. They are symmetrical because time forms are symmetrical. But they're symmetrical in the most peculiar way that you could imagine. In fact, no one can imagine it because there's no image for it whatsoever. Time forms are symmetrical because zero and infinity are symmetrical. We're going to come back from a break. But the most deepest penetration of this was from a classical Greek 500 years before Jesus. But he was raised not in Greece. He was raised raised in what was called Magna Graecia, southern Italy. His name was Parmenides. And he wrecked the confidence of all previous thought forms single handedly. And we'll take a look at this And the conundrum that he developed, which is exactly the conundrum that was developed in quantum field theory. It involved zeros and infinities and how it was that one is impossible, logically. Let's take a break. Let's come back to the Quandry. In Kaku's book visions. Published. Uh, 1997. Visions how science will revolutionize the 21st century. This is too small. It's not about the 21st century. It's about the tsunami of the threshold of at least three levels of time, forms that involve a fourth level of time forms that reaches out to the stars. A 500 year cycle of the Phoenix. A millennial thousand year cycle a 2000 year Aeon cycle have to do with our species on this planet. But the great year has to do with this whole star system among the stars. Which is still not understood sufficiently. Not only does this planet spin and go around our sun, our whole star system is moving and it's moving in an arm of the Milky Way galaxy, which itself is spiral spinning, which itself is moving in intergalactic space. So that the parfait of time forms, when computed to the best of the wisdom of our heritage. Only got to the threshold of the doorway that goes outside. We had been in the house of man all the time and did not know that we were housebound. We received an open door 2000 years ago. The most brilliant thing about Jesus was opening the door and saying to man, there is a realm which is God's realm. You are of the family that is free to inhabit God's realm. In the Epistle to the Hebrews, Apollos of Alexandria wrote, to whom of the angels did he ever say, you shall inherit the kingdom? They're messengers from me to you, but you are family. You inherit the kingdom. Heaven is your real place. Whereof that end of that aeon. Of the end of a millennial time. Form that really dates from not just the year 1000, but dates from the way in which the year 1000 was promulgated and a large millennial time form and the large millennial time form that was promulgated was the idea, the millennial idea of the First Crusade. We nobles of Britain, of France, etc., etc. are going to go back and reclaim the Holy Land. We're going to take it back from Islam. So that there's something in that open door that is an open door, not of a small house, but of a very large house. Of a compound that has a series of mansions. And that the planet is actually the house. The Earth as a home. We thought it was a huge home, a beautiful home, which it is. For the size of our characters, it's expansive and indeed can be beautiful for the ambition of individuality. It seems to be world enough in time, but to the spiritual person who has looked through the open door and realized that we are free to go and explore the further grounds. The other shore. It is startling how picayune and tyrannical spoiled children, men and women are. They are gifted with the open invitation to explore the larger grounds within which their home, their home planet, has. It is not positioned, but has its concourse and the whole star system having its concourse. The whole galactic arm having its concourse, and one of the original deep insights that was there three millennia ago was the mystical appreciation that one of the most prominent constellations in the stars for the northern half of the planet is not in the plane of the ecliptic. It lies just above where the plane of the ecliptic would be, and that's the constellation of Orion. Orion is a multi-dimensional symbol. Its disk plane is through the three stars of the belt, but there is a smaller three stars of the sword hanging from the belt. And there is the enormous four stars that surround the belt and the sword. And the constellation really has an enormous, uh, astronomical beauty. The intuition was well placed because between our star system and Orion is a huge gulf of 900 light years. Because Orion is in a different arm of the galaxy. We're on the outer edge of one of the arms of the galaxy, looking across a relatively sparsely populated star system space of 900 light years to magnificent stars who dominate that whole region, that whole section of the of a second arm of the Milky Way. And there are other arms of the Milky Way. If you went 500 light years, the constellation would change somewhat. The three stars of the belt would still be there, and the two stars that are above Betelgeuse and Bellatrix would still be there. And it would look like a great five star box. Open box. Rigel is closer, so it doesn't really, um, maintain its shape. Safe. Uh, sap h uh, f does not really stay in the constellation. But what is primordial about it is the three stars of the belt are really firmly placed there 900 light years away. And the recognition of it three millennia ago was to build the three great pyramids as the three stars for the belt of Orion. Not because people came from there, but because the insight was that somehow this is a key stability for time forms to symbolically embody and express, because somehow there is a calibration here of a way in which to participate in the amplitude of eternity. The pyramids are not so much tombs as that. They are holding places for the spirit that can reinhabit and come back. The car. And that they mark it so that the time metronome of millennia will have become a part of the way in which the culture and the civilization has accepted that this is part of the long lasting significance of what this is all about. That quality is remarkable in our time. And when we come to Michio Kaku's Visions, The Book 1997. Now, it's almost a decade after the first Superstrings volume. He's been on a weekly radio show, and it's broadcast internationally. Page 352 A little section called The Multiverse. According to this startling new picture, in the beginning was nothing. No space, no time, no matter or energy. But there was the quantum principle which states that there must be uncertainty. So even nothing became unstable and tiny particles of something began to form. By analogy, think of boiling water, which is a purely quantum mechanical effect. The bubbles, which seem to come out of nowhere, suddenly expand and fill up with the water. Similarly, in this picture picture, nothing begins to boil. Tiny bubbles begin to form and then rapidly expand rapidly. Since each bubble represents an entire universe, we use the term multiverse to describe the infinite ensemble of universes. According to this picture, our universe was one of these bubbles, and the expansion is called the Big Bang. This was 2500 years ago. A conspicuous impasse. It was the impasse that Parmenides positioned from Magna Graecia and south Italy. The town at that time was called Ilia. Ilia. In the Roman Empire it was called Velia. That whole section of southern Italy. The boot, the heel of the boot from Tarentum to Croton was the fertile ground of of the new far west of Greece at that time, 500 BC. And the great figure at that time there was Pythagoras, who moved his entire ensemble of his teaching from the island of Samos in the Aegean over to Crotona in Magna Graecia. And he was about 56 years old when he did it. He had studied constantly for more than a half century to refine, to refine, to refine, and to build up. Because he is the first one to build up the complexity of understanding. That a geometry leads not just to a shaping, but that the geometric pairs itself with numbers, and that a numerical geometry gives for the first time an ability to jump arithmetic, which is clumsily using numbers mainly to count up or down, add or subtract. But when you jump arithmetic one phase further, what becomes important is not adding and subtracting, but dividing and multiplying. And as soon as you have that, the Greek term for division is diairesis. And diairesis was the principle misunderstood largely in Plato's dialogues. It's always called dialectic, but the Greek term is not dialectic, it's diairesis. It means division. It means that if you understand dividing and multiplying, you have brought into play ratio thing. You not only have the cardinal quality of arithmetic, but now you have the proportional ratio ING of arithmetic. And from this now one gets a tremendous Pythagorean insight. You can use that ratio. Proportion. So that now you can take a string on a musical instrument and you can portion it out by exact numerical ratios in the middle. So it's one half two. So there are thirds the one half with each one. So there are fourths to jump so that there are four making fifths. All of a sudden now you have a musical scale, which is also numerical, but it's numerical in a racial proportionate way. And that if you apply this kind of music now to a geometry, you get a fantastic insight. And one of the Pythagorean sayings. They were collected in antiquity for the popular response to people who would say, well, what's it all about? They would have little sayings of Pythagoras, the golden sayings of Pythagoras. One of them was geometry as history. That the time form home of all not just mad, but of the way in which existence itself is done, gives us an architecture of the real, and that we can learn to make the proportions of music into the proportions of buildings, into the proportions of cities, into the proportions of the way in which men and women mature themselves, so that now they have access to a scaler of making music, of making architecture, of making persons that has a reverberation in the way in which the cosmos, for the first time, somebody uses the term the cosmos with a k, that the cosmos is the understood proportional ratio of the real. Now men and women have an opportunity to learn that before you speak racially, you have to learn to listen newly. So that the Pythagorean communities were such that for those coming into it, they went through a five year probation where they were able to listen freely to those who would teach, but they could not ask questions. They could not make comments. They could not mutter. Or Jesus used to use the term that translates as murmur. Yeah, people who want to stay in control or who fear being out of the control murmur among themselves. One would observe a five year period of silence. The golden silence. Because in that silence you would get used to hearing a new syntax of language, an acrobatic syntax that was made in musical poetic diction terms. The rhythms would not be the rhythms of mess. They would be the complex, proportioned rhythms of an art, of language, of an art Of language that would appeal to the emergence of the art of the person. That one could really do something spectacular. There was a famous title of a book about that years ago by the great great philosopher named Stanley Cavell. The title of the book was Must We Mean What we say when we can speak truthfully on a proportionate way? Now the language has an aesthetic of truth rather than a politics of circumstance. Now it's not the rhetoric to convince, to sway opinion, but it is the higher quality moving away from the whole level of opinion. The Greek term for opinion was doxa. One moves away from doxa to truth. Aletheia. One now is able to hear when something is true and able to say it truthfully. Now the concourse of talking with each other raises it from a kind of a committee to a special kind of a community. Now, people are not just citizens of a political body, but they are companions in a way that Ruth Montgomery entitled one of her books beautifully one time companions along the way. Socrates in the platonic dialogues, again and again says, until we become companions, there's no way we can learn about anything. And it isn't that I know and that you should get it from me. It's that when we are companions together and are able to be speak truthfully with each other, the divisions that separate us will go through mathematical phases and stages, and they will come together like a light cone to the source of the illumination, which we will both see together spontaneously at the same time. That this process is not a dialectic of a ping pong between polarities. It is a convergence integral that opens up because when we have arrived together at a truth as companions, we now have the archetype of how we can do this any time we would like to, and share it with any number of people, that there is a command, a community of the true that is now available. By this method, by this process, but that it takes a while to be able to hear how one talks going away from a rhetoric to a poetic. And right away, when the Pythagorean communities began to really coalesce. First in South Italy. Parmenides family was among the first Pythagoreans in south Italy. He was a Greek, but they were the Far West Greeks, and Parmenides himself came from a very distinguished family. But he was one of the original. They call them the Presocratics. The philosophers before Socrates. Because Socrates brought the whole quality into which Plato's dialogues showed, this is how you do it, and how you do it doesn't lead to conclusions. It leads to the ability to see that each one of these truths is a door. To use the over beggared term in the early 21st century, it's a gate. It's a gateway. A gateway out of the house. If you call it a stargate, it's like using a kind of kindergarten mumbo jumbo and not understanding what one is saying. In Zen, uh, it's called the Gateless gate because one sees that it's not the openness of a gate, but that once that gate is opened, the gate was only there. Apparently there is. There never was a gate there. It was a holdover appearance from the habit of doxa, which, because everyone had the same kind of habit, they all saw that there was a gate there and named it a gate in Parmenides. Great mystical two part poem. It's peculiar. This is a translation done published by the University of Toronto. Um, the University of Toronto's classic journal is called Phoenix for good reason. And they did, uh, supplements as as little books. And this was a supplement done by David Gallop, who was at Trent University in Ontario. Peterborough, Ontario. If you went east from Toronto, about a third of the way to Ottawa is Peterborough. Small town. Excellent classical university. University of Toronto is the English, uh, Oxford and McGill and Montreal is the French Cambridge. So Canada has in between lots of little universities that take great pride and in having contributed something either to McGill or to, uh, University of Toronto. Here's Gallup's translating of three fragments from the poem The Mystical Poem of Parmenides, which has two parts. One is about going towards truth, the other is going towards doxa, going towards opinion, but not going towards opinion in an opinion way. But having seen truth. And you shall also know the surrounding sky, whence it grew, and how necessity did guide and shackle it, to hold the limit to the stars, how Earth and sun and moon, and the common aether and Milky Way, and the outermost heaven and the hot strength of the stars did thrust forward to come to be. This is from the second part of Parmenides poem. You have to understand he was a William Blake figure. He wore long, whitish linen robes, which was always the Ancient Egyptian Heliopolitan priesthood sign, and he had long hair, and towards the end of his life it became whitened, so he looked like an ancient man who was a William Blake divine person. In the way towards truth. He posited three sayings in a beautiful way in which it was wrapped and enveloped in. Of those who were trying to exercise the precision of symbolic thought, and the ones who penetrated and came through that wall of unbelievable logical dead end, because they understood that that wall was just an appearance where the Pythagoreans, they saw it as a membrane of the mind that one could go through, and not only the Pythagoreans, but because it was an axial time form. 500 BC, at the very same time that the Pythagoreans were going through it, realizing that it was just an appearance in India, the historical Buddha was seeing that it is really not there, and you can follow a method by which you can hone yourself to behold that it is impossible for it to have been there at all, and at the very same time as Pythagoras and the historical Buddha. And in in China, Lao Tzu was writing the Tao Te Ching. Tao te book zero and one. And that the one is rational. It's proportionate in an equality. Yin and yang. The young. Carries the five phase energy cycle on its back and is embraced by the yin, whereas in India it was seen equally the other way around. Shiva accepts the energy of Shakti and the dance of Maya continues. The Pythagoreans saw that there is a peculiar shared quality between the men and women. His wife's name was Theano. One of the remembered sayings of Theano. She was asked how long after having sex is a woman pure enough to participate in religious ceremonies, and her reply was with her husband immediately with some other man. Never. That there somehow is a tunable pairing that makes a tine, that is able then to tune every thing in the ratios in which they are real, and that once you have that tuning fork, the music of the cosmos is within patient reach.
