This series explores 20th century American history by focusing on a diverse group of figures spanning architecture, poetry, drama, religion, esoteric philosophy, and speculative fiction. Episodes will feature Frank Lloyd Wright, Ezra Pound, T. S. Eliot, E. E. Cummings, Wallace Stevens, William Faulkner, Tennessee Williams, Theodore Roethke and Robinson Jeffers, Thomas Merton, Christ in Alexandria, Khigh Dhiegh, A. E. van Vogt. This is the fourth quarter of a year-long examination of "Hermetic America" by Roger Weir. This presentation series was originally delivered in 1985.
